Busy Day

The day started with a trip to the vets to be weighed...11.2kg WOW I am growing fast! Tom the cat came along too, nice of him I thought, he had a full M.O.T and passed with flying colours...well done mate. We both had to have flea and worm meds (YUK!) Tom tells me that happens every 3 months!
Then it was off to Porthtowan for some lunch, well not Tom he got dropped off at home...most unfair. We went to Blue, a trendy beach coffee shop that lets "well behaved dogs" in. I managed to behave really well and naturally the waitress thought I was soooo cute! After that a run on the beach, still not liking the sea - way too cold for my paws. They tried to get me to fetch a ball....WHY??? I'd much rather play with the seaweed and stones.

Visitors - Oct 2011

Hey, the family have come down to Cornwall to visit us for the half term holidays. They all live up in Lincoln, 7 hours drive away. I was very overwhelmed when they all came into the house on Friday evening, but on Saturday I was much more willing to make friends. We all went to the beach and I played ball with the boys....fun! I was let off the lead which made playing much easier. I was a Super Pup (SP) and didn't run off at all. TBH I am still a bit scared of other people and dogs, so I stay close. I also practised my homework for the week...touch, watch and default down. I like" touch" the best and I get loads of treats - yum.
On Monday Gran, Grandad and my lot went to Portreath. It had been raining so the beach was empty, loads of room to run around. Good photo op for Gdad, crashing waves. I tried paddling again, still not sure and Mandy found out that her wellies have got a hole in them.
Tuesday we went to Padstow, so did the rest of the world! It was very, very busy and everyone wanted to stop and say hello to me. We met up with Angela and Steve from Droitwich and we went for a long walk....the longest one I had been on so far. I was having a great time running around, but then I fell over the side of the sanddune and tumbled all the way down! It was a very long way down.... I wasn't hurt, but what a shock! My Steve slid (and fell) down to rescue me.
On Wednesday I went with Mandy and Becca to my next Puppy Class. You will never guess who else was there......my brother! We were sooooo excited to see each other. What a great surprise. He is called Harvey and moved in with his family a week ago. He is much bigger than me and a deep gold colour, I am still yellow. The other puppies are a Pug called Stanley and a Lab X Poodle called George. We all had a great time and I was a SP again!
Thurday we all went to the Bodmin and Wentworth Railway. This is a steam train and we found out about it on the Dog Friendly website ( a great website that lists all places where dogs are made especially welcome) we had a lovely time on the train, even though it was raining. I was a SP again and impressed everyone with how well I behaved. They thought I would be frightened by the train.....nah not me I'm getting big now!

What a busy week I've had, great fun with everyone!

Puppy Class - Thursday 20th Oct 2011

Today I started my Puppy Classes. This is great fun, all you have to do is lie down and get fed treats! I hope all the classes will be like this. For my first class I was the only puppy there. I got to meet some big dogs who will show me how to do things right....then I have to copy them...hmmmm I'll have to think about that, do I get treats for doing that too? I was very nervous of the big dogs to begin with, one looked like a wolf for goodness sake! The very nice lady gave me a stag antler to chew on, delicious! Next time there will be 3 other puppies to play with.

My first walk - Sunday 16th Oct 2011

Outside looks a bit scary, not sure I want to do this...

Safety first....seatbelts on.
My harness is a little bit too big, but does the job.
I am used to travelling in the car and I am very well behaved, usually I am asleep within minutes!

nope...I definately don't want to walk , lift please!

O.K this is better. After examing the sand for a few minutes I had a go at walking on my lead.
We were at Godrevy, the beach by our house,we walked along the sand and I tried paddling in the sea....not sure about that yet. I tried to play with the seaweed...yuk!

I met loads of friendly people, who all thought I was sooooo cute.

Hometime, I was so tired, that was great fun. Can we do it again tomorrow please?

Getting to know you...

This is my new friend Tom. He is really nice....to chase! I am trying really hard not to chase him as he gets cross with me and punched me on the nose, but sometimes it is worth it! As the days have gone by, we have become pals and he even had a drink from my water bowl the other day....cheek! He also likes to pinch my treats when no one is looking.

I did get into so much trouble the other day. Tom was sitting on the window sill with his tail hanging down.....well it was too tempting, not my fault really, I just had to pull that tail. Down came Tom ontop of me, he was not very pleased and I got time out. I have noticed that Tom sits on the window sill with his tail wrapped tightly around himself now....hmmmm

OWWW..... THAT HURT :( Monday 10th Oct 2011

I had my second injection today. That wasn't too bad, the nice vet gave me lots of treats, but then he stabbed me with a gun! It was my microchip, it was HUGE and it made me bleed :( It hurt and I cried.
I was very sleepy when we got back home so I spent the afternoon napping. Then Bec gave me a new toy, a giraffe with a squeaker.....this will be fun. I have loads of toys and chews now, but I still like to chew the kitchen chair the best!

I am 3 months old today!

on the up!

Hey, I discovered the stairs the other day. It took me several goes to master them, but now I can run up quickly. Coming down is more tricky....I sometimes manage to hop down, but i usually come down on my belly...much safer!

"it's so high up here!"

If only they would leave the doors open......I'm sure I could get into some more mischief up here!

My First Bath.

My first bath was on Thursday, exactly one week after my arrival. I was very smelly from the kennels, but had to wait a week for my bath as my skin was poorly. I was very well behaved (video to follow when she has got the hang of Premier Elements!) and enjoyed the water and rub down.

Blow drying my fur was not as much fun - it was noisy. Once I got used to it, it was rather relaxing... and now my fur is salon soft.

Cleaning my teeth was great! I even got to hold the brush!

Now I smell much better and look even more cute....if that's possible :0)

Footprints......everywhere!

How cute am I !

Today I got in an awful mess.My family decided it would be a good idea to put blue paint on my paw and get me to walk across some paper. However I decided it would be much more fun to walk across everything BUT the paper, to sniff and try to eat the paint and to have a good ol' scratch with my blue paw......paint everywhere!

look how small my paws are :0)

first visit to the vets - Monday 26th Oct 2011

Today was a bit scary....I had to go to see a lovely vet at Penmellyn Vets. She gave me some treats....and an injection - yuk! Today was not all bad.... I found out that Tom, the cat, moves! How exciting chasing him round the garden, spoil sport then jumped over the fence!
I managed to go outside to the loo all by myself today, for some reason I got extra treats (not complaining though!) I have finally won the battle of "wipe your feet, Alfie" I just run off with the cloth before they have chance to use it - ha ha.
